Travel Theme: Round

All around us there are round objects, man made or natural. So it’s a great theme for Ailsa of Where’s My Backpack to challenge us with. If you want to join the fun, just follow these rules:
- Create your own post and title it Travel theme: Round
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Get your post in by next Thursday, as the new travel theme comes out on Friday
You can subscribe and get links to other fabulous round photos here.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Juxtaposition
East meets West with high tea at Bangkok’s Erawan Tearoom.
So I’m breaking a rule for the city daily photo and digging back into the archive. This photo shows last year’s spring kite festival, held in April, where participants and spectators had to deal with the snow. Truly memorable, and cold.
Here’s how it works:
1. Each week, we’ll provide a theme for creative inspiration. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Friday when the next photo theme will be announced.
2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Weekly Photo Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.

Travel Theme: Sweet
Ailsa, creator of Where’s My Back Pack?, offers a weekly blogging challenge in the form of a Travel Theme. This week’s prompt is “sweet.” So many choices, but I’ve decided on this cheese cake from the Hotel Mercure’s brunch, a favorite weekend treat.
These sweets can be had at Omega’s Restaurant in Niles, IL
